Hey y’all! I am ecstatic that you’ve found my colorful corner of the internet and are interested in taking the time to get to know me and what my blog is about. I’m a 23 year old graduate student and teacher. I’m originally from Fairhope, Alabama and have a tendency to stick to my Alabama roots with the frequent use of the word “y’all” and the use of “Roll Tide” as an acceptable response to just about anything.
At Furman I am majored in Elementary Education and decided to stick around to pursue my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. At Furman I was very involved with my sorority, Kappa Delta, where I served as both President and Vice President of Public Relations which is how I spent a large majority of my time. In the free time I have between meetings, class, volunteering in local schools, and being a regular college student with a social life you could find me working out, drinking an obscene amount of coffee, baking, and creating new content right here on Prep In Your Step.
Now that I’ve graduated from college my love of doing it all has yet to subside. I teach fourth grade at a school in Greenville County and still work to make time to create posts for Prep In Your Step. I’ve also discovered my love of social media management and have begun running the instagram account of the cutest boutique PR firm, LBH PR & Company.
While a list of things I love would be extensive here are a few things that never fail to bring a smile to my face: bright colors, pretty paper goods, baking, peppermint anything, Gilmore Girls, hand written notes, matching pajama sets, barre classes, babies, tassels, Myers Briggs personality types, brunch, interior design, coffee, navy blue, organization, and golden doodles just to name a few.
And because it doesn’t feel like you really know me until we’ve talked in person I’ve created this fun video talking a bit more about myself and my blog for y’all! I hope this makes us feel a bit more like friends!
