Green has always been a color I’ve liked and I feel like over the year it has found more meaning. Growing up, green reminded me of my grandparents as they picked out cars, boats, and even bedding in our bunk room at their beach house in the shade. The school I went to from 5th grade until 12th had a blue and green plaid and in college joining Kappa Delta comes with its own shade of green. Despite my love of this color I really don’t own that much of it. With green eyes it becomes super noticeable when I have something green on since my eyes really tend to pop.
So, when I came across this pair of shorts in green after snagging them in white (featured here) I knew they needed to be added to my closet. I’ve raved over the style and fit of these shorts before but getting them in this color ensures that I’ll be able to sport them well into fall as a transition piece! The ruffle detail at the top was just begging to be shown off which made my comfy white off the shoulder top the perfect companion for these shorts. Paired with my go-to cross body bag and gladiator-esque sandals this outfit would be perfect to wear on a variety of occasions since it is a bit more dressed up than my typical chino shorts and v-neck shirt!

While I didn’t elaborate much on the cross body or sandals I thought I’d save you the time (since I wear them so frequently) and instead rave about the fact that Rebecca Minkoff is having a major online sample sale that you won’t want to miss. I kind of want to get it in this color combination since it is *that* cute!
