Oh how I wish I were still by the water today! I was optimistic coming back to school since I had hopes of warmer weather and Furman’s immaculate landscaping looking extra spring-y. Instead I was greeted on Sunday with a snow flurry on my weather channel app stating that there was a 90% chance of snow. Not exactly the spring I was hoping to return to. I don’t think we’ve ever had a more inconsistent winter and the worst part is that when we have gotten snow it has always been on the weekend so I haven’t missed school because of the weather yet. Hence why I would love to still be soaking up the sun by the water today! Fortunately, I got a healthy dose of that over spring break so I suppose that I can’t be too sad now.
No better way to combat the fact that it is cold than pictures of when it was warm, right? That must be why so many computers come with a background that has something to do with the beach I guess.
Ever since I purchasing this striped bell sleeve top a few weeks ago I’ve worn it at least once a week every week since. I wear it to student teach all the time with pants or a skirt and even paired it with some jean shorts over spring break. My favorite way to wear it so far? Just like this. Navy and pink have always been a favorite color combination of mine and I love that the bell sleeves on this blouse are complemented by the ruffles on this bright pair of shorts! Bell sleeves seem to be very in this season, which I love, and I think the best part is that they can be dressed down quite easily. I know that this exact look will be one I wear over and over again from late spring all the way through summer. With a basic pair of sandals it certainly looks as though I put more effort into this outfit than I did.
You can bet I’ll be counting down the days until I am beach (and bay) bound again!
