Happy Election Day! This is the first presidential election I’ve been able to vote in (missed the last one by a month) and sadly this go round I don’t even get an “I voted” sticker since I submitted my vote through my absentee ballot. Wear yours proudly since I’m only a little bit jealous.
While last week I am so glad that it wasn’t cold since I was sleeping in a tent (full update and explanation on all of that tomorrow) I am so glad that it finally feels cooler this week. I’m one of those odd people who really loves cold weather so expect to find me fully embracing it in the coming weeks.
If I had to come up with a fall uniform for myself it would definitely be something of this nature. Either a button down shirt or a sweater with a vest on top. I’ve been a long time fan of all of J.Crew’s vests and bit the bullet almost instantaneously when they released this one at the beginning of the year. Nell ordered it too and we have started referring to it as our “teddy bear vest” when we check with each other to make sure we don’t both wear it on the same day. Vests are such an easy way to make an outfit look a little more complex and definitely add the warmth you’ll be wanting in the coming weeks. This one in particular is such a unique take on a classic and the camel color fits seamlessly into just about any wardrobe.
I couldn’t end this post without raving about one more thing…these booties! I found them at target of all places and had to pick my jaw up off of the ground when scrolling through their shoe selection since there were so many amazing options all for super affordable prices! I found that while in store my local Target has a pretty decent selection online is definitely the place to go because of the number of options I saw!
