I can’t believe that today is the start of another semester. It’s crazy that I am beginning my second semester of sophomore year. In some ways it seems like an eternity since starting college but other times it feels like it’s gone by so fast. This semester is already shaping up to be an extremely busy one and my classes are going to be more difficult than I expected. With the stress of school (and recruitment occurring at the same time with that is sure to come when classes begin I thought today would be the perfect day for this post. When I am starting to get overwhelmed I try to take time out of my day to appreciate the little things. For me, the little things make all the difference. I am actually reading the most perfect book that puts all of this into perspective (I’ll have a post on that later).

Here are my little things that make all the difference to my mood when I am feeling overwhelmed.
New school supplies.
Fresh flowers.
Nail polish / painting my nails.
Balloons.
Cozy pajamas.
Stationery.
Candles.
Sweet treats.
Sleeping in.
Phone call from a friend.
What are the little luxuries that can completely turn your day around?
