The Smart Girl’s Guide April and Giveaway

To begin, wishing The Smart Girl’s Group a happy first birthday is in order! I can not believe it has been a complete year since we launched our first issue! I remember talking with Emily all about the idea and watching it come to life over the past year has been amazing! I am so proud to say that I have been a part of this amazing group since the first day and can’t wait to continue my involvement!

For those of you who don’t know, I write a monthly organizational column and I just started interning for the magazine. My internship role involves reaching out to companies and finding shops willing to host giveaways for the Smart Girl’s Group. If you follow the group on Facebook or check The Loop, the smart girl’s blog, often then you probably noticed the wonderful Lifeguard Press Lilly Pulitzer USB giveaway going on right now! As you may have guessed, my new role is going well and I love sharing what the Smart Girl’s Group is all about with companies!

This months issue truly reached a place so far beyond my expectations of the future of the Guide. I always knew that the concept and creation of this monthly magazine was brilliant but I would’ve never imagined it looking so professional! All of the spreads are carefully designed and the content and pictures seem so professional. It is truly amazing what a committed group of girls can accomplish when they put their heads together to “Be smart and share smarts.”

Our Guide has come a long way since its early days and I could’t be any more excited to see where it goes!
